We, the undersigned employees of Phelps Hospital have been devoted to this facility, the work that we do, and the patients that we serve. We have put our lives and the lives of our families on the line over these past three years and we are demanding equity and respect. We have heard that we too belong to Northwell Health, however we are not treated the same. Over 15,000 Northwell employees have contracts that are or have the League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes standards, which we too deserve. We are not any less of an employee and should not be considered or treated as less than any of those 1199SEIU members at Northwell Health. We at Phelps Hospital, a Northwell Health facility, deserve the same respect and recognition and we will stand UNITED to win it in a fair contract.
